***This is NOT your typical lake house ! *** Only 1/2 mile off a major state highway, this 3000 sq. ft. clean uncluttered house is located in a private, serene, country setting. It is situated on a broad point and features an incredible sandy beach and view (one can see Little Mountain 17 miles away). With an unbelievable beachside lawn, you will ACTUALLY think you are at a park - in fact there are two picnic tables for dining out. The house easily sleeps up to 10 and is furnished, including dishes, pots & pans, two grills, etc.

LAKE MONTICELLO is South Carolina's cleanest major lake (7000 acres) and is considered the best catfishing lake in the state (see the catfish link at the left.)

The broad point where this house is located features the most spectacular view and beach on Lake Monticello, with a gradually deepening lakefront that is suitable for small children. The lake bottom is firm and the depth increases gradually as you wade out from the shore. No nasty weeds. IF YOU HAVE A SAILBOAT, this is an unbelievable place to sail. Being on the East side of the lake, with a 17 mile unobstructed SW view, there is usually a breeze. NOTE the neat snow picture. This was a very unusual event. Two convenience stores are located less than 5 minutes away; a major shopping center is about 15 minutes away.
